The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou),(“HKUST(GZ)”), was officially approved by the Ministry of Education ofPeople’s Republic of China to enter the preparatory status in September2019. Located in Nansha, Guangzhou, the campus covers 1.13 squarekilometers and the first phase of construction is expected to becompleted by September 2022. At steady state, the number ofundergraduate and postgraduate students will reach a total of 10,000.Under the “Unified HKUST, Complementary Campuses” framework, theintended areas of focus in HKUST(GZ) will be thematic andcross-disciplinary in nature, synergistic with HKUST, a world-renownedinternational research university with innovation in her DNA. There willbe four Academic Hubs (equivalent to schools) with 16 Thrust Areas(equivalent to departments).

Duties
1. Provide engineering and technical services for the school andrelevant teaching and research units, assist in solving technicalproblems includes signal acquisition, automatic control, electronictrouble shooting. Design and fabricate prototypes with electronicdevices, compile relevant documents etc.;
2. Conduct repairing and maintenance works for various instruments aswell as ensuring the instruments in good condition;
3. Provide technical advice for student projects;
4. Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.

1. 为学校及相关教学与科研单位提供工程技术服务, 协助师生解决设备问题如讯号采集, 自动控制, 电子问题排查; 设计和制造样机, 装置, 编制相关设计文档等;
2. 对仪器进行维修保养工作，确保仪器处于良好的工作状态;
3. 为学生项目提供技术咨询;
4. 履行领导交办的其他任务。

任职要求Qualification Requirements
1. A bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or related disciplines,with more than 5 years of relevant work experience;
2. Proficient in analogue and digital circuit design as well asfabrication, Keen to learn various new technologies;
3. Hand on experience as well as knowledge on instrument maintenance,PCB design, embedded system and programming skills will be preferred;
4. Good analytical, organizational and communication skills, strongsense of responsibility, able to arrange and guide the work of subordinates;
5. A good command of written and spoken Chinese and English.

1. 持有电子工程或相关专业本科或以上学历，5年以上相关工作经验;
2. 精通模拟和数字电路设计及制作，热衷于学习各种新技术;
3. 有实际操作经验，有仪器维护、PCB电路设计、嵌入式系统及编程知识者优先;
4. 良好的分析和组织沟通能力，责任心强，能够安排和指导下属工作;
5. 良好的中英语讲写沟通能力。

This is a Mainland appointment, and the appointee will be offered acontract by HKUST Mainland entity in accordance with the Mainland laborlaws and regulations. Starting salary will be commensurate withqualifications and experience.
